What is this about?
This study aims to investigate medical students’ experiences, perceptions and reporting of discrimination in the workplace.
Globally discrimination and harassment are known to be a problem in medical schools and it is only through openly researching and understanding the issue that this can be addressed. Medical schools that take an open approach to understanding can change the situation and interventions can make a real impact on reducing it.
This research aims to understand prevalence of discriminatory behaviour and people’s reaction to it may help to improve this. We are interested in hearing about how students perceive and experience certain types of behaviour. This will feed into a change process.
